Why do you think Plant made it to the final?
- Great to be in the final! We enable climate-neutral construction by taking advantage of technology. A large part of the work we do is about trying new things. It is therefore important that we create really good conditions for learning new things and that we dare to fail. I think we have a great corporate culture with a strong focus on creating an inclusive and safe environment where we care about and take care of each other. My attitude is that innovation and growth is a result of creating a workplace where people thrive. Then we have the privilege of working on an incredibly important problem: sustainable construction. That in itself is inspiring and makes it easier to find talent for our company.
How has Plant's software evolved in 2022?
- We have made major improvements in our performance in 2022. Our software can now calculate the climate impact of all construction projects, at all stages of construction. There is an extensive amount of data to be compiled to make climate calculations of large construction projects. From 20 seconds at the beginning of the year to ask questions in the largest and most complex projects, we are now down to two tenths of a second. The more projects we enter, the more efficient the interpretations become. In the long term, we also hope to include more and more AI in the system to make the process even more effective.
Anything else you want to highlight from 2022?
- Plant's goal for 2022 was to double sales, which we did with a margin and strong key figures. We did this despite 2022 being a challenging year for the tech industry. The company went from two to 18 full-time employees in 18 months. We also went from having one framework agreement to seven framework agreements with large construction and real estate companies where virtually all the companies' rebuilding and new construction is done in Plant. We are of course happy about the successes and it is fantastic to now be one of the finalists in the Tech Company of the Year competition!
