The construction and real estate sector accounts for more than a fifth of Sweden's climate impact, according to the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning. A year ago, it became law that developers must submit a climate declaration for new buildings.
Plant has created a service that calculates the climate impact of the construction process. By using the construction project's 3D models, large parts of the calculation can be automated.
- The construction industry is undergoing a huge transformation. More and more players are investing wholeheartedly in circular and sustainable materials. Despite this, large parts of today's climate calculations are done in Excel sheets without system support," says Pelle Tunell, CEO of Plant.
The company is now approaching a turnover of SEK 16 million, breaking even since November and has just closed a capital round of SEK 6 million with AGV Invest as a new investor.
- AGV is like Norrsken House but in PropTech. That's where everything is happening right now. The purpose of this issue is mainly to acquire their unique knowledge of the industry," says Pelle Tunell.
AGV is sponsored by, among others, Jernhusen, Akademiska Hus, Hemsö and Fabege. They are assisted by an advisory board consisting of renowned individuals such as Maria Rankka, Peter Wågström, Peter Ingman and Charlotte Hybinette. Felix Sandquist is responsible for running the investment activities.
