Plant has successfully completed a significant financing round. This round was led by Investment AB Latour (publ), through its subsidiary Latour Future Solutions AB, and also included significant investments from Almi Invest Greentech and Course Corrected. The round generated SEK 25 million and was listed with overcrowding, which further confirms the market's confidence in Plant. Plant, which specializes in offering comprehensive climate calculations and declarations for construction and real estate companies, thus takes a major step forward in its mission to reduce the climate impact of the construction and real estate industry.
"Plant's solutions offer a path to reduce CO2 emissions in the real estate industry and create a necessary change in the way real estate projects are planned, implemented and monitored. We are confident that our collaboration with Plant will generate significant environmental impact, drive industry innovation and accelerate the company's growth internationally."
Pelle Mattisson, CEO of Latour Future Solutions AB
Founded in 2017, Plant has doubled its turnover and workforce annually over the past four years. By utilizing Plant's groundbreaking 3D platform, construction and real estate companies can integrate accurate climate calculations into their workflows, leading to smarter and more climate-smart decisions in all buildings and construction phases. Plant's industry-leading cloud-based platform combines BIM models with advanced technologies such as machine learning and artificial intelligence. This makes it possible for companies to smoothly and dynamically visualize and effectively reduce the total climate impact of different projects and work proactively with benchmarking and strategic forecasting at the company level. Plant currently helps 50 percent of Sweden's large cap real estate companies to reduce their climate impact and is headquartered in Stockholm with 25 full-time employees.
Pelle Mattisson, CEO of Latour Future Solutions AB, says: "Plant's solutions offer a way to reduce CO2 emissions in the real estate industry and create a necessary change in how real estate projects are planned, implemented and monitored. We are confident that our collaboration with Plant will generate significant environmental impact, drive industry innovation and accelerate the company's growth internationally."
Jonas Bergqvist, Investment Manager at Almi Invest Greentech, adds: "Our investment in Plant is an obvious complement to the current companies in our climate and environmental fund. The community building sector is a focus for us going forward and we are impressed by Plant's ability to achieve a significant positive climate benefit in the real estate industry already today with its unique technology and expertise. All actors in the construction phase will need to use solutions to manage their climate impact and we believe that Plants is by far the best."
With the new funding, Plant looks forward to further developing its innovative climate calculation platform and expanding its presence both in Sweden and internationally. "This successful investment round is clearly an important milestone for us at Plant. Now we can really put full speed on our vision to reduce the climate impact of the construction and real estate sector. With the support of our investors and through our advanced software, we are well positioned to continue leading the way towards more sustainable construction," said Pelle Tunell and John Sjulander, founders and principal owners of Plant.
