What initial steps do you plan to take as the new chairman of Plant?

The most important thing is to learn about the company, how the products create value, and how we can continue to maximize value for the customers we work with.

How do you view Plant's current position in the market, and what are the greatest opportunities for growth and contributing positively to our customers' sustainability efforts?

I have always regarded Plant as a highly reputable company, which is an excellent foundation on which to build. For the company's growth, it is essential to find solutions that can be scaled up to a large number of customers. By finding solutions that many people can use and quickly get started with, we will also be able to help our users become more sustainable in a short period of time.

Can you tell us about your experience of international expansion and how it will affect your strategy for Plant in Sweden and the Nordic region?

Several of the companies I have worked with have successfully expanded internationally. To achieve this, a high degree of standardization and simplicity is required so that we can clearly communicate the value we create in new contexts. We will return to the question of when and at what pace we will focus internationally.

What are the main challenges and opportunities you think Plant faces in its quest to improve sustainability in the construction and real estate industry?

I believe there is a lot to be said for Plant's products and the value we deliver. However, it is important to remember that there are relatively large fluctuations in demand in the construction sector that we cannot control. This, in turn, can affect our customers' ability to plan for the long term. I see the most obvious opportunity as being the increasing awareness and ability to act on climate issues.

You have a background as an investor and advisor in several technology companies. How will these experiences contribute to the development of Plant's position and offering?

As an advisor, you have the privilege of meeting many driven and talented people in different companies and learning what has driven their success. Based on those experiences, I hope to bring back ideas that Plant can benefit from as we grow. Sometimes you find effective approaches and lessons in completely different types of companies and industries. As Plant launches more SaaS-based offerings, I see clear approaches from other companies that we can learn from.

How important is corporate culture to you, and what values are most important to you in a successful organization?

The culture within a business is extremely important and holds the team together. I value simplicity, clarity, and efficiency above all else. Of course, there is much more to it than that, but I believe that these factors create a very good foundation on which to build partnerships and successful companies.

Which trends in Swedish and international proptech do you see as most promising for the future and for Plant?

Without a doubt, climate change – that is, awareness and the drive to act on the need for the construction sector to transform and minimize CO2 emissions in connection with construction projects.

How do you think Plant relates to the competition, and what do they do differently to stand out?

I feel that Plant has been successful in building effective and flexible solutions for various contexts within construction. It is clear that this has made the company very popular with customers.
