Plant sets the standard in the construction industry

Serneke now launches climate calculations throughout its operations

We at Plant are proud that our climate calculation tool is now integrated into Serneke's operations. Through our collaboration, we set a new standard for how sustainability can be integrated early in the construction process. With Plant, Serneke gets the tools to efficiently calculate and optimize CO2 emissions in its construction projects - an important step in reducing climate impact in one of the most resource-intensive industries.

Julia Björkman, business developer in costing and tendering at Serneke, has been a key player in the launch project. Together with her team and us at Plant, she has adapted our tool to meet Serneke's specific needs. Julia emphasizes how user-friendly and educational Plant is, which facilitates the work with climate calculations for their project teams.

- What I like best about Plant is how clear and educational the tool is. It makes it easier for our teams to make the right and optimize sustainable material choices

- "What I like best about Plant is how clear and educational the tool is. It makes it easier for our teams to make the right and optimize sustainable material choices," says Julia. "We can easily see how our material choices affect CO2 emissions and hopefully it will encourage more people in the company to work actively with climate calculations.

Serneke employees will now have access to different views in the program depending on their role in the project - from overview views for management to more detailed project and production views. These allow different stakeholders to adjust material choices and construction systems to optimize the project's sustainability solutions.

The launch of Plant took place in conjunction with an update of Serneke's operations management system (VLS) on September 24. From this date, Plant became available to the entire Serneke organization, and role-specific training will be provided via e-learning. Through these trainings, Serneke's teams will get the tools they need to make climate calculations a natural part of their project work.

- With Plant, it becomes obvious for us to not only count money, but also count CO2

Julia also sees business benefits from Plant:

- The tool gives us a stronger offer and allows us to position ourselves as a leader in climate-smart solutions. Minimizing CO2 emissions is not only good for the environment, it also becomes a competitive tool in our tenders. With Plant, it becomes obvious for us to not only count money, but also count CO2," concludes Julia.

Pelle Tunell, co-founder and CEO of Plant, comments on the collaboration with Serneke:

- We are proud that Serneke has chosen Plant as its tool to lead the sustainable transition in the construction industry. Our collaboration not only demonstrates the potential of our solution, but also how climate calculations can become a natural part of the entire project process. Together, we are making it easier to make informed decisions that reduce climate impact, and we look forward to continuing to drive the development of sustainable construction projects forward.

We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Serneke and together creating more sustainable construction projects for the future.
